Matching Well Production

  1. After the well production data has been imported, if the wells weren't auto-matched during the import process, click the 'Auto-Match' button.
  2. If any imported wells were not matched, first verify that there are no corresponding unmatched WinCama wells. If not, this is a new well, so right-click on the well and click on the 'Add as New Well' option in the context menu pop-up.
  3. If there are any unmatched WinCama wells, once all of the imported wells have been successfully matched, please call the well operator to ensure that the spreadsheet was complete. If it was complete, you will need to find out if the well has been plugged/abandoned or if it was sold to another well operator. If it was sold, you can right-click on the well(s) and click on the 'Assign to Another Well Operator' option in the context menu pop-up.
  4. Once all of the imported wells have been matched, you can then import the well interest (DOI) data by clicking the 'Import Minerals' button and following the wizard instructions.

  2. Click the Manual Match button.
  3. The Taxpayer Selection screen will load…
  4. In this situation, It could not auto-match because the Owner ID from the operator wasn’t set.
    1. Since the taxpayer did not actually change you simply click OK on this screen to keep the existing taxpayer.
  5. If the interest owner had changed, and thus the taxpayer needed to change, simply search for the taxpayer with the search criteria provided. Once the search criteria are entered, click the Search button.

Updating WinCAMA

Update WinCama Functionality

  1. There isn't a 'Save' button in the program, because as you match wells/interests it is saved to the database. However, to actually take the matched well production and well interest data and save that data into WinCama, you must use the 'Update WinCama' functionality.
  2. Clicking the 'Update WinCama' item under the 'File' menu updates WinCama with the well production and depth information for all matched wells and the well interest from all wells where the imported interest is fully-matched.
  3. Once a well has been updated to WinCama, it will have a yellow background in the grid. If the well row is NOT yellow, it is the result of a match type that would require the auto-create (or delete) of parcel information and that is not allowed in the context of this program. For example, well interest and parcel information is not auto-created for match types of NewWell, ManualOneToMany, or ManualManyToOne.

Finishing up Well Production Matching

After Matching all Wells this window prompt you:

  • Clicking Yes will close the pop-up message, save all well production information to WinCama and then jump the user straight to the Lookup Table Values screen on the wizard, bypassing the New Import vs Resume working…, Well Production vs Well Interest, and the Operator Selection screen, to save the user a few clicks since those options are defaulted to the obvious values to allow the user to import interest for the current Operator.
  • Clicking No will close the pop-up message, but keep the user on the Well Production screen and not save any imported values to WinCama.

Finishing up Well Interest Matching

After Matching all Wells Interest owners this window prompt you:

  • Clicking Yes will close the pop-up message, save all well and interest that hasn’t already been updated to WinCama, and then close the Well Interest screen, and load the Wizard screen to the opening/main page, as if the user selected the Import Minerals button.
  • Clicking No will close the pop-up message, but will keep the user on the Well Interest screen.
